Mayo means the fifth of May. But it isn't Mexican Independence Day nor the equivalent of the U.S. Fourth
of July. Cinco de Mayo is the day Mexicans remember El Día de la Batalla de
Puebla (Battle of Puebla). Cinco de Mayo is mostly an Americanized Latino
